Raíces Art Gallery
Join us for an art gallery celebrating those who come from Latine roots. The Latine heritage month gallery is selecting art that chooses to celebrate one’s heritage that’s based in Latin America. A tribute to dreams and memories that are rooted in traditions, ancestry, cultural identity and stories passed down through generations.
What You’ll See
This Latine based gallery will focus on art that depicts ones heritage raíces(roots). Memories, dreams and stories depictiing family or hardships will all be shown at this celebratory art gallery at Vjosa Cafe.
Gallery Length
This gallery will run through Sept 18th and Oct 16th in celebration of Hispanic heritage month.
What to expect
The gallery will contain multiple pieces from local artists based in Chicago. Pieces will be available to purchase throughout the month. Opening and closing receptions will have other activities such as interactive art making and art vendors.
Why come to this gallery?
Paired with hispanic heritage month, this gallery celebrates those roots immigrants or child of immigrants have to their heritage. Half the collective being Hispanic, we acknowledge and choose to honor those creatives who want to share their rich history and dreams with the world.
Who can come?
This gallery is open to everyone for free! All ages are also welcomed. Art showcased may depicit adult material so supervision is required for any attendee under the age of 17.
